Criteria: Successful attainment of the top 3 percent of the class during Coast Guard recruit training.
The Coast Guard Basic Training Honor Graduate Ribbon was established by the Commandant of the Coast Guard on March 3, 1984. Effective April 1, 1984, it is awarded to Coast Guard personnel comprising the top 3 percent of each Coast Guard recruit training graduating class.
Individuals who graduated from Coast Guard recruit training prior to April 1, 1984 and meet the above criteria and believe themselves eligible for this award may submit a request, with supporting documentation to the Coast Guard Commandant.
