The Airman's Medal Ribbon is used with the Airman’s Medal and is awarded for actions involving voluntary risk of life under conditions other than combat. A successful voluntary heroic act or the saving of a life is not essential to the award of this decoration. Airman’s Medal Ribbons are to be worn on official uniforms with bronze oak leaf clusters. The ribbons are made to the highest official government standards and uniform approved. All of the ribbons we have featured are unmounted and do not come with a holding bar.
