The Air Force Senior Master Sergeant with 1SGT Diamon pin is awarded Air Force Senior Master Sergeants serving as First Sergeant. Air Force Senior Master Sergeant Rank (SMSgt) is the fourth Non-Commissioned Officer rank in the United States Air Force. Promotion to this rank is an especially significant accomplishment and honor, being that less than 10% of Master Sergeants progress to this rank.
