Introduced originally in July of 1957, this badge is awarded permanently to Army personnel who have demonstrated satisfactory performance in an EOD role for 36 months after receiving the Basic EOD badge. The Senior EOD badge bears a laurel wreath containing 4 striking lightning bolts that protrude from the original Bomb Disposal School insignia. The downward-pointing bomb emblem signifies a live bomb and the shield represents the EOD core principle of safely disposing of live ordnances. This badge has a silver oxide finish, measures 1 ¾ inches in height, and is 100% Made in the USA. This badge makes a great addition to one of our customizable shadow boxes and it is available in black, nickel, and mirror finishes as well.
