SC Palmetto Service Ribbon

The South Carolina Palmetto Service Ribbon is officially hallmarked by the U.S. Institute of Heraldry. This unique ribbon is awarded upon completion of one year of active service in the South Carolina National Guard. Service in the active military is creditable if the recipient entered such service as a member of the South Carolina National Guard. On January 1st, 1970 this award appears to have been initially authorized by regulation, however, a statement in the AG’s Report for FY 1971 (p.22). This ribbon is solid navy blue with a white embroidered logo that is displayed on the South Carolina state flag. South Carolina Palmetto Service Ribbons are made with the highest government standards and are US Military approved. All ribbons of the US Military are made in the USA. Ribbons are unmounted and do not come with a holding bar.
