The Philippine Republic Presidential Unit Citation was awarded to U.S. Armed Forces personnel for services resulting in the liberation of the Philippines during World War II. The award was made in the name of the President of the Republic of the Philippines. It was also awarded to U.S. Forces who participated in disaster relief operations in 1970 and 1972. The ribbon has three equal stripes of blue, white and red enclosed in a rectangular gold frame with laurel leaves identical to U.S. unit awards. A three-sixteenth inch bronze star denotes receipt of an additional award.
