NY Conspicuous Service Medal

The New York Conspicuous Service Medal Ribbon is officially hallmarked by the U.S. Institute of Heraldry. This decoration is awarded for exceptionally meritorious service to the state in a duty of great responsibility by any member of the organized militia while in active status. Such service shall have contributed in high degree to the success of a command, installation, or project. It is not awarded for service performed by military members while in a civilian status. In 1953 this award was officially authorized and made ready to be worn on uniform. The ribbon has a color pattern of red (3/16 inch) white (1/16 inch), blue ¼ inch starting at the left and right ends with a orange middle measuring ⅜ inch. New York Conspicuous Service Medal Ribbons are made with the highest government standards and are US Military approved. All ribbons of the US Military are made in the USA. Ribbons are unmounted and do not come with a holding bar. To purchase this ribbon for yourself or a family member's shadow box, or display case, we require a DD-214 or other valid proof that this medal was honorably awarded.
