NY Conspicuous Service Cross

The New York Conspicuous Service Cross Ribbon is officially hallmarked by the U.S. Institute of Heraldry. This ribbon is automatically awarded to recipients of a federal decoration issued by a Brigade or higher HQs, providing the recipient is a citizen of the State of New York who, at the time, was serving on federal AD in the U.S. Armed Forces for purposes other than training. New York state citizenship at the time of the award was mandatory. State citizens who, while serving with allied forces, received comparable citations may also be presented this medal if they are a state citizens at the time of receipt. Dates of eligibility are April 6th, 1917 to the present. On May 10th, 1920 this award was authorized by the state legislature as recorded in Ch 627, Laws of 1920, and amended by Ch 588, Sec 247, Laws of 1921. The ribbon comes in a color pattern of blue (5/16 inch) and white (5/16 inch) on the ends and has a ¾ inch middle. New York Conspicuous Service Cross Ribbons are made with the highest government standards and are US Military approved. All ribbons of the US Military are made in the USA. Ribbons are unmounted and do not come with a holding bar.
