The New Mexico Academy Service Ribbon is officially hallmarked by the U.S. Institute of Heraldry. This ribbon is presented to enlisted members of the National Guard or SDF who have successfully completed a reserve component NCO educational system course or NCO academy. Formerly, the award was given to cadre members who performed service during an entire class cycle. On March 27th, 1979 this award was authorized by the state legislature in SB 100, as recorded in Ch 129. The current statutory authority is codified in Sec 20-10-15. The color pattern on the ends of the ribbon goes blue (¼ inch), yellow (1/16 inch), red (3/16 inch), yellow (1/16 inch) from left to right and the middle is blue measuring ¼ inch. New Mexico Academy Service Ribbons are made with the highest government standards and are US Military approved. All ribbons of the US Military are made in the USA. Ribbons are unmounted and do not come with a holding bar. To purchase this ribbon for yourself or a family member's shadow box, or display case, we require a DD-214 or other valid proof that this medal was honorably awarded.
