ME Meritorious Service Award

The Maine Meritorious Service Award Ribbon is officially hallmarked by the U.S. Institute of Heraldry. This award is presented to recognize members of the Maine National Guard for outstanding meritorious achievement or service, or for acts of courage that do not necessarily involve risk of life. On May 2nd, 1980 this ribbon was authorized and statutory authority was subsequently granted by Ch 594, Sec 18, effective February 1st, 1984. On the left and right ends of the ribbon displays the color black (⅛ inch), white (1/16 inch), black (1/32 inch), yellow (3/16 inch), black (3/32 inch), red (3/32), and a black middle that measures 3/32 inch wide. Maine Meritorious Service Award Ribbons are made with the highest government standards and are US Military approved. All ribbons of the US Military are made in the USA by US Veterans. Ribbons are unmounted and do not come with a holding bar. To purchase this ribbon for yourself or a family member's shadow box, or display case, we require a DD-214 or other valid proof that this medal was honorably awarded.
