DE Distinguished Service Medal

The Delaware Distinguished Service Medal Ribbon is officially hallmarked by the U.S. Institute of Heraldry. This relatively new award may be presented for distinguished service rendered to the Delaware National Guard by any member of the U.S. Armed Forces or the military or naval forces of the state. It may also be awarded for single acts that distinguish members from their contemporaries, or for long and distinguished service that clearly separates a member from others of comparable grade and time in service. On May 22nd, 1984 this decoration was authorized by Ch 258, Laws of Delaware. The ribbon has a color pattern of blue and yellow stripes and is ready to be worn on official uniforms. Delaware Distinguished Service Medal Ribbons are made with the highest government standards and are US Military approved. All ribbons of the US Military are made in the USA. Ribbons are unmounted and do not come with a holding bar.
