Al Commendation Medal

The Alabama Commendation Medal Ribbon is officially hallmarked by the U.S. Institute of Heraldry state ribbon. This ribbon is awarded by the governor, this decoration is for meritorious and outstanding service and accomplishments, either the military performance of duty or civilian performance in direct support of state military forces. This award was authorized by EO in July of 1951 and confirmed by GO 110 on December 13th, 1954. This ribbon displays the state colors and comes in a pattern that measures white (1/32), red (⅜), white (5/32), red (1/16), and white (1/16). Alabama Commendation Medal Ribbons are made with the highest government standards and are US Military approved. All ribbons of the US Military are made in the USA. Ribbons are unmounted and do not come with a holding bar.
