The Mississippi Emergency Service Medal Ribbon is officially hallmarked by the U.S. Institute of Heraldry. This is awarded for service to the state of Mississippi by any member of its National Guard for duty performed during a major tour of state emergency duty declared by the AG. Such major tours of state emergency duty will be announced in permanent orders of the AG. The earliest such duty specified is for flood duty during 1927. The authorization is the same as the Mississippi Medal of Honor. Comes in a color pattern of yellow, blue, and yellow from left to right across the ribbon. Mississippi Emergency Service Medal Ribbons are made with the highest government standards and are US Military approved. All ribbons of the US Military are made in the USA. Ribbons are unmounted and do not come with a holding bar. To purchase this ribbon for yourself or a family member's shadow box, or display case, we require a DD-214 or other valid proof that this medal was honorably awarded.
