MT Air Medal

The Montana Air Medal Ribbon is officially hallmarked by the U.S. Institute of Heraldry. This ribbon is awarded for meritorious achievement while participating in aerial flight by any individual serving in any capacity as a member of the Montana National Guard. The achievement must have been accomplished with distinction, above and beyond that normally expected of the professional airman or soldier. On April 1st, 1966 this award was authorized by AR 900-1. The ribbon is ultramarine blue with two white stripes that measure ⅛ inch. Montana Air Medal Ribbons are made with the highest government standards and are US Military approved. All ribbons of the US Military are made in the USA. Ribbons are unmounted and do not come with a holding bar.
