TX Governor's Unit Citation

The Texas Governor’s Unit Citation Ribbon is officially hallmarked by the U.S. Institute of Heraldry. This award may be presented to organizations of the Texas National Guard or SG for heroism or extraordinary meritorious service when such is the result of a group effort. The unit must have displayed such gallantry, determination, and esprit de corps in accomplishing its mission under extremely difficult conditions that it was clearly set apart and above other units participating in the same or similar activity. In May of 1979, this award was authorized by the AG. The ribbon displays blue ends that measure ⅜ inch, followed by a white patch that is 3/32 inches wide, and a red middle that is ½ inches wide. Texas Governor’s Unit Citation Ribbons are made with the highest government standards and are US Military approved. All ribbons of the US Military are made in the USA. Ribbons are unmounted and do not come with a holding bar.
