Fl Commendation Medal Ribbon

The Florida Commendation Medal Ribbon is officially hallmarked by the U.S. Institute of Heraldry. This award is presented for heroism, meritorious achievement, or meritorious service by any member of the Florida National Guard. The ribbon may be made to individuals who are not members of the Florida National Guard who distinguished themselves by an act of heroism, extraordinary achievement, or meritorious service which has benefitted the Florida National Guard. On December 1st, 1958 this award took the form of a ribbon bar until the criteria changed in 1973 when it was authorized and promulgated on the same day. Comes in a color pattern that measures green (⅛), yellow (⅛), green (5/16), and a yellow (¼) middle. Florida Commendation Medal Ribbons are made with the highest government standards and are US Military approved. All ribbons of the US Military are made in the USA by US Veterans. Ribbons are unmounted and do not come with a holding bar.
