LA Legion of Merit

The Louisiana Legion of Merit Ribbon is officially hallmarked by the U.S. Institute of Heraldry. This Legion of Merit is awarded for exceptionally meritorious conduct in the performance of outstanding achievement or service by any person who served in the active Louisiana National Guard while in state service. Justification for the award may accrue by virtue of exceptionally meritorious service in a succession of key positions. On September 17th, 1980 this relatively recent award was authorized by Chg 2 to LAARNG Reg 672-1 dated December 12th, 1978. Comes in a blue and red striped pattern from right to left and is ready to be worn on official uniforms. Louisiana Legion of Merit Ribbons are made with the highest government standards and are US Military approved. All ribbons of the US Military are made in the USA by US Veterans. Ribbons are unmounted and do not come with a holding bar.
