VT Medal of Merit

The Vermont Medal of Merit Ribbon is officially hallmarked by the U.S. Institute of Heraldry. This ribbon is awarded for outstanding meritorious conduct in the performance of outstanding services, or the performance of an act of heroism, by any member of the Vermont National Guard while serving in any capacity with the same or with the U.S. Armed Forces. Service should be in the nature of a special requirement or of an extremely difficult duty performed in an unprecedented and clearly outstanding manner. On July 12th, 1956 this ribbon was authorized by GO 19. The ribbon has a green, red, and yellow striped color pattern and is ready to be worn on uniform. Vermont Medal of Merit Ribbons are made with the highest government standards and are US Military approved. All ribbons of the US Military are made in the USA. Ribbons are unmounted and do not come with a holding bar.
