Va Legion of Merit

The Virginia Legion of Merit Ribbon is officially hallmarked by the U.S. Institute of Heraldry. This decoration is awarded for exceptionally performed meritorious service in the performance of extremely difficult duty by a member of the Virginia National Guard, either active or inactive. The performance must have been incontestably exceptional, the result of significant achievement based on specific projects, plans, programs, or actions performed in an unprecedented manner. On April 25th, 1966 this ribbon was authorized by VNGR 44-6. The ribbon displays blue ends measuring 15/32 inches, followed by white stripes that are ⅛ inch, and a 3/16 inch wide red middle. Virginia Legion of Merit Ribbons are made with the highest government standards and are US Military approved. All ribbons of the US Military are made in the USA. Ribbons are unmounted and do not come with a holding bar.
