OK Guardsman Medal

The Oklahoma Guardsman Medal Ribbon is officially hallmarked by the U.S. Institute of Heraldry. This ribbon is awarded to a member of the Oklahoma National Guard who, having more than 15 years of total service, has contributed to the efficiency and growth of same by an unusually high character of performance of duty and who, by a contribution of extra time and effort, has generally come to be known as an outstanding member of the Oklahoma National Guard. This award is Oklahoma’s top award for meritorious service. On June 7th, 1961 this award was authorized by the legislature in HB 699, as recorded in Title 44, Ch 3, Sec 5. This ribbon comes with gold ends on the left and right that measure 5/32 inch, followed by blue between the middle on both sides that measure ⅜ inch, and a red middle that is 5/16 inch. Oklahoma Guardsman Medal Ribbons are made with the highest government standards and are US Military approved. All ribbons of the US Military are made in the USA by US Veterans. Ribbons are unmounted and do not come with a holding bar.
