MN Distinguished Service Medal

The Minnesota Distinguished Service Medal Ribbon is officially hallmarked by the U.S. Institute of Heraldry. This decoration is presented to any citizen or former citizen of Minnesota who, while serving as a member of the state’s military forces or as a member of the US Armed Forces performs exceptionally meritorious service to the state or nation in a duty of great responsibility that contributes in large measure to the success of a major command, installation, or undertaking and is clearly above and beyond what might have been reasonably expected. On March 6th, 1943 this award was authorized by the state legislature as outlined in Ch 108, Sec 15, Subdivision 3. Comes in a color pattern on the left and right sides of the ribbon of white (1/16 inch), blue (¼ inch), white (1/16 inch), red (1/16 inch), white (1/16 inch), blue (1/16 inch), and has a center that is the color white and is ¼ inch wide. Minnesota Distinguished Service Medal Ribbons are made with the highest government standards and are US Military approved. All ribbons of the US Military are made in the USA by US Veterans. Ribbons are unmounted and do not come with a holding bar. To purchase this ribbon for yourself or a family member's shadow box, or display case, we require a DD-214 or other valid proof that this medal was honorably awarded.
