DC Meritorious Service Medal

The DC Meritorious Service Medal Ribbon is officially hallmarked by the U.S. Institute of Heraldry state ribbon. This ribbon may be awarded to military, civilian, and attached personnel who, while serving in or with the D.C National Guard, perform an act of heroism or perform meritorious achievement or service that results in a marked benefit to D.C. National Guard or brings public acclaim and gratitude to the individual or to the D.C. NG (outstanding performance of normal duty for over two years qualifies). This award also may be awarded to the military who are neither members of, nor attached to, the DC National Guard, who have rendered distinguished service to the nation. The ribbon comes in the color pattern navy blue (⅛), white (⅛), navy blue (⅛), red (¼), and navy blue (⅛). DC Meritorious Service Medal Ribbons are made with the highest government standards and are US Military approved. All ribbons of the US Military are made in the USA by US Veterans. Ribbons are unmounted and do not come with a holding bar. To purchase this ribbon for yourself or a family member's shadow box, or display case, we require a DD-214 or other valid proof that this medal was honorably awarded.
