The Colorado Commendation Ribbon is officially hallmarked by the U.S. Institute of Heraldry. This ribbon is awarded for exceptional service to Colorado, or for the accomplishment of a special act or deed reflecting credit to the state and the Colorado National Guard, by any member. On September 6th, 1977 this award was authorized by the governor and promulgated in PO 71-1 on October 6th, 1977. Comes in a colorful striped pattern of red, yellow, white, blue, yellow, and red from right to left. Colorado Commendation Ribbons are made with the highest government standards and are US Military approved. All ribbons of the US Military are made in the USA by US Veterans. Ribbons are unmounted and do not come with a holding bar. To purchase this ribbon for yourself or a family member's shadow box, or display case, we require a DD-214 or other valid proof that this medal was honorably awarded.
