TN Distinguished Service Medal

The Tennessee Distinguished Service Medal Ribbon is officially hallmarked by the U.S. Institute of Heraldry. This decoration is awarded for exceptionally meritorious conduct in the performance of extremely difficult service or actions by any member of the Tennessee ARNG or any member of the U.S. Armed Forces associated with the Tennessee National Guard. On January 12th, 1950 this award was authorized as a ribbon bar by TAG Cir 23-2. The ribbon has a color pattern of blue, red, and white stripes throughout the ribbon and is ready to be worn on uniform. Tennessee Distinguished Service Medal Ribbons are made with the highest government standards and are US Military approved. All ribbons of the US Military are made in the USA. Ribbons are unmounted and do not come with a holding bar.
