GA Commendation Medal

The Georgia Commendation Medal Ribbon is officially hallmarked by the U.S. Institute of Heraldry. This ribbon is presented for an outstanding act or achievement, or outstanding service to the Georgia National Guard, by any members of the same; for outstanding service to the Georgia NG by members of the active military forces or the reserve components, or for bringing favorable credit to the Georgia National Guard by civilian personnel. This award was authorized by EO, as promulgated by Interim Chg, January 3rd, 1973, to GaNGR 600-1, April 1st, 1958. Comes in a striped color pattern of red, white, and blue and is ready to be worn on official uniforms. Georgia Commendation Medal Ribbons are made with the highest government standards and are US Military approved. All ribbons of the US Military are made in the USA by US Veterans. Ribbons are unmounted and do not come with a holding bar.
