The New York Medal of Valor Ribbon is officially hallmarked by the U.S. Institute of Heraldry state ribbon. This rarely-awarded decoration is for a conspicuous act of valor, courage, or gallantry by a member of the organized militia in an active status. This award was authorized by GO 10 on October 18th, 1894. Comes in the color blue and is worn on the neck of the uniform. New York Medal of Valor Ribbons are made with the highest government standards and are US Military approved. All ribbons of the US Military are made in the USA by US Veterans. Ribbons are unmounted and do not come with a holding bar.
