NM Long Service Medal

The New Mexico Long Service Medal Ribbon is officially hallmarked by the U.S. Institute of Heraldry. This award is issued, in ribbon form, upon completion of five years of service by a member of the National Guard or SDF. The ribbon is awarded again after 10 years of service. On March 17th, 1931 this ribbon was authorized at the same time as the Distinguished Service Medal, as recorded in Ch 123 and amended in subsequent years. Has yellow ends that are 3/16 inch, followed by red and yellow stripes that are 3/32 inch, and a yellow middle that measures 7/16 inch. New Mexico Long Service Medal Ribbons are made with the highest government standards and are US Military approved. All ribbons of the US Military are made in the USA. Ribbons are unmounted and do not come with a holding bar.
