ME Soldier of the Year Award

The Maine Soldier of the Year Award Ribbon is officially hallmarked by the U.S. Institute of Heraldry. This award is presented to the “Soldier of the Year” at the specified levels. Specific criteria and evaluation data are prescribed in National Guard directives. The award is retroactive for active members. On May 2nd, 1980 this ribbon was authorized by regulation. The left and right side of the ribbon has a color pattern of blue (3/32 inch), yellow (3/32 inch), blue (3/32 inch), white (1/32 inch), green (11/32 inch), and has a middle that is the color white that is 1/32 inch wide. Maine Soldier of the Year Award Ribbons are made with the highest government standards and are US Military approved. All ribbons of the US Military are made in the USA by US Veterans. Ribbons are unmounted and do not come with a holding bar. To purchase this ribbon for yourself or a family member's shadow box, or display case, we require a DD-214 or other valid proof that this medal was honorably awarded.
