The California Federal Service Ribbon is officially hallmarked by the U.S. Institute of Heraldry. This ribbon is awarded to each person inducted into federal service as a member of the California National Guard. A member must complete service in one of the following; 12 months between September 15th 1940 - September 16th 1945, 12 months between August 1st, 1950 - July 27th, 1954, 3 months between October 1st, 1961 - August 31st, 1962, or 6 months between July 3rd 1965 - March 18th, 1973. On May 26th, 1947 this award was authorized by the state legislature as recorded in Statues, Ch 393, Sec 19. Comes in navy blue with five gold stripes. California Federal Service Ribbons are made with the highest government standards and are US Military approved. All ribbons of the US Military are made in the USA by US Veterans. Ribbons are unmounted and do not come with a holding bar.
