TN Meritorious Unit Citation

The Tennessee Meritorious Unit Citation Ribbon is officially hallmarked by the U.S. Institute of Heraldry. This ribbon is awarded to recognize exceptionally meritorious conduct in performance of unusually difficult services while serving in a unit called to state active duty by the governor in a time of urgent or extreme need, emergency, or crisis. Any unit considered for the award must have displayed outstanding devotion and superior performance of duty beyond that normally required. In 1960 this ribbon was based upon a previous institution because eligibility for the award dated from January 1st, 1957. The ribbon has red ends that measure ⅜ inch, followed by white stripes 3/16 inch wide, a middle that is 11/32 inch, and three white stars in the middle. Tennessee Meritorious Unit Citation Ribbons are made with the highest government standards and are US Military approved. All ribbons of the US Military are made in the USA. Ribbons are unmounted and do not come with a holding bar.
