The Iowa Recruiting Ribbon is officially hallmarked by the U.S. Institute of Heraldry. This ribbon is awarded for directly contributing to the enlistment of five persons into the Iowa National Guard during any 12 month period subsequent to March 12, 1982. On March 12, 1982 this award was authorized by INGR 672-1. On both ends of the ribbon has the color pattern blue (3/32 inch), white (1/16), blue (1/16), with a white middle that is 1/16 inch wide. Iowa Recruiting Ribbons are made with the highest government standards and are US Military approved. All ribbons of the US Military are made in the USA by US Veterans. Ribbons are unmounted and do not come with a holding bar. To purchase this ribbon for yourself or a family member's shadow box, or display case, we require a DD-214 or other valid proof that this medal was honorably awarded.
