The California NCO Academy Ribbon is officially hallmarked by the U.S. Institute of Heraldry. This award was authorized for presentation to persons graduating from an accredited NCO Academy on or after January 1st, 1971. The history of this award is identical to that for the GOUC, except that this ribbon was discontinued on September 1st, 1983 and never reinstated - although awards previously received may still be worn. The ribbon has golden-yellow ends measuring 1/16 inch, followed by blue stripe that is ⅜ in wide, and a golden yellow middle that is also ⅜ inch wide. California NCO Academy Ribbons are made with the highest government standards and are US Military approved. All ribbons of the US Military are made in the USA. Ribbons are unmounted and do not come with a holding bar. To purchase this ribbon for yourself or a family member's shadow box, or display case, we require a DD-214 or other valid proof that this medal was honorably awarded.
