AR Distinguished Service Medal Ribbon

The Arkansas Distinguished Service Medal Ribbon is officially hallmarked by the U.S. Institute of Heraldry. This decoration is awarded only by EO of the governor, upon the recommendation of the AG, to Arkansas National Guard personnel for exceptionally meritorious service in a duty of great responsibility while serving in state service. Can also be awarded for unselfish and untiring activities rendered in furthering the security and welfare of the state. On July 11th, 1928 this ribbon was authorized by GO 11. Comes in a stripe pattern that goes blue, golden yellow, blue on the left and right side with a golden yellow middle that measures 15/32 inch. Arkansas Distinguished Service Medal Ribbons are made with the highest government standards and are US Military approved. All ribbons of the US Military are made in the USA. Ribbons are unmounted and do not come with a holding bar.
