The Marine Corps Globe and Anchor Cap Device Black Enlisted is the current insignia for both officers and enlisted currently. Originally bronze during World War II until 1963 then changed to the non-glossy branch of service insignia. The insignia represents the Marines by a “Bird and Ball” or “Globe and Anchor” or formally known as “Eagle, Globe, and Anchor”. Used for hat badges and be attached to your uniform by a screw-on back to complete your official United States Marines uniform.
