Military Medals In Order of Precedence.

This chart, starting with military decorations, is a guide for those that want to see the awards listed and shown as they would be mounted for wear or shown in a shadow box. By placing your own awards in this order you are holding to the standards that the Institute of Heraldry has established for the U.S. Military. Some medals such as the Air Force Good Conduct Medal can be shown in front of the Army Good Conduct if you earned both, if you left the Air Force last or are currently in the Air Force. More information on awards and decorations can be found on the Medals of America website. Most medals are available for purchase with the proper paperwork such as a DD214.
