The Navy Submarine Engineering Duty Badge is an official issue of the United States Navy. The requirements to earn this badge are serving successfully for at least one year in a submarine-related waterfront assignment at a nuclear shipyard or Supervisor of Shipbuilding Officer as well as completing a 12-week Submarine Officer Basic Course. This badge is ready for use on official US Navy uniforms and can be placed on them with the two pins on the back of the badge. This badge displays two dolphins facing a silver circle which is centered on the badge with three-bladed propellers.
