Army Identification Badge Basic Instruction

The Army Instructor Badge is approved by The U.S. Institute of Heraldry and awarded to Army Personnel responsible for training and instructing soldiers. This Basic Instructor badge displays an arch of 13 stars and the Army Instructor insignia, which includes a torch between a halberd and a sword, as well as an open book reading “EXPERTO CREDE.” A quill sits below the book and above the scroll placed along the bottom of the badge which reads “INSTRUCTOR” to signify the wearer’s designation. This badge measures approximately 2” in diameter, is 100% made in the USA, and comes in a gold finish. For personnel who have achieved Senior Instructor or Master Instructor status, we also offer the respective Army Identification Badges.
