In Blue Springs Missouri, Veterans are being shown a level of respect and gratitude that is hard to find in the rest of the United States. Thanks to a new law, officials are locating men and women who served in the United States Armed Forces, and making sure that they are given every medal and award that they were eligible for or earned in service to the United States Military. Many of the awards have been lost in old safe deposit boxes, or never ever awarded to the veteran who earned them.
The Military Medal Return Bill gives the state the ability to publish the names of every veteran that was awarded or eligible for certain military medals and awards. Now anyone can find out what awards a Veteran in their family has earned, even if they were never awarded those medals.
It is very exciting to see our Veterans being awarded that which they have well earned.
