In 1940 the Yangtze Service medal and ribbon became obsolete and was replaced by the Chinese Service Medal. This ribbon is received by the Navy and Marine Corps members who participated in operations at the Valley of the Yangtze River between the dates September 3, 1926, to October 21, 1927, and March 1 1930 to December 31, 1932. To earn this achievement within the United States Navy or Marines you must have served on shore at Shanghai, China, or the Valley of the Yangtze River. These ribbons are made to the highest official government standards and uniform approved. All of the ribbons we have featured are unmounted and do not come with a holding bar.
