Air Force Master Sergeant Rank (MSgt) is the third Non-Commissioned Officer rank in the United States Air Force. Promotion to this rank involves a shift toward supervision and management of a larger group of subordinates, and a shift away from hands-on involvement in technical tasks. The embroidered design includes three silver chevrons outlined in blue, an encircled star in the center, two curved chevron below the encircled star, and an upward-pointing chevron atop the pin.
