U.S. Army Chief Warrant Officer 4 Rank OCP/Scorpion Sew On

This Army Chief Warrant Officer 4 (CWO W4) rank insignia patch is designed for wear with the new Army OCP uniforms and meets all new regulations. TThis patch is uneven fabric fold and sew on, displays the Operational Camouflage Pattern (OCP)  previously referred to as “Scorpion W2”. The warrant officer rank was created to fill special positions required and greater technical skill and responsibility than a noncommissioned officer, but without the responsibility of command. Army Chief Warrant Officer (CWO W4) rank supersedes Army Warrant Officer (CWO W3), is 100% USA Made,  and the insignia displays three black blocks on a gold bar. Chief Warrant Officers with W4 rank may be designated as Master Warrant Officers after completing warrant officer school, earning the rank of CWO W5.
