The Special Forces tab was created in 1983 and has been a part of the Army’s tradition ever since. This Army tab is a miniature enamel tab and is meant for the uniforms of selected special services members. There are two pins on each side to securely place it on your official uniform. The tab simply displays the words “SPECIAL FORCES” across this Army insignia. The Special Forces Tab is one of the tab badges worn by those that have completed a specific school. The Special Forces badge is authorized to be worn on the mess/dress uniforms and green shirts. The Special Forces tab is 100 percent handled and made in the USA.
