President George H. W. Bush was the 41st President of the United States from January 1989 to January 1993. President Bush servied in WWII as a Lieutenant in the U.S. Navy, and earned the Distinguished Flying Cross, Air Medal, and a Presidential Unit Citation.

Before Bush was the Commander in Chief, he was an Ambassador to the U.N. from 1971 to 1973, the RNC Chairman from 1973 to 1974, Head of U.S. Liasion Office to China from 1974-1975,  and the Director of Central Intelligence from 1976-1977. 

During his presidency, President Bush signed the Americans with Disabilities Act, Civil Rights Act of 1991, and the Radiation Exposure Compensation Act, and the Clean Air Act.
