The Navy Expeditionary Ribbon was authorized on August 5, 1936. The medal is awarded to members of the Navy who have engaged in operations against armed opposition in foreign territory or have served in situations warranting special recognition where no other campaign medal was awarded. These ribbons are worn on Navy uniforms with Silver W, Bronze or Silver Star, "Wake Island" bar for participation in Wake Island, December 1941. All ribbons are made with the highest government standards and are US Military approved. Navy Expeditionary Ribbons are unmounted and do not come with a holding bar. To purchase this ribbon for yourself or a family member's shadow box, or display case, we require a DD-214 or other valid proof that this medal was honorably awarded.
