The current officers’ branch of service insignia for the dress/service cap consists of a view of the globe (Western Hemisphere) about 7/8 inch in diameter, intersected by a fouled anchor, and surmounted by an eagle. The rope of the fouled anchor is only connected at distinct points. The insignia is provided with a screwpost securely soldered to and projecting from the approximate center rear of the globe, and fitted with a milled nut. The dress insignia is gold and silver while the service insignia is finished in non-glossy black. The design of the current officers’ dress collar insignia is identical to the dress cap insignia, except that it is about 11/16 inch in diameter.
