The Indiana National Emergency Service Ribbon is officially hallmarked by the U.S. Institute of Heraldry state ribbon. This ribbon is awarded for service performed in the North Dakota National Guard personnel while on AD for more than 30 days during the period of the Berlin Crisis (October 1st, 1961 through August 15th, 1962). This award was authorized by EO9 on August 8th, 1962, and promulgated by GO 44, on August 15th, 1962. The ribbon has a color pattern of blue (3/32), red (⅜), white (1/16), blue (1/16), white (1/16), and blue (1/16). On the bar of this ribbon, which is not included, it is inscribed “Berlin Crisis” which is always attached to the holding bar when in uniform. Indiana National Emergency Service Ribbons are made with the highest government standards and are US Military approved. All ribbons of the US Military are made in the USA by US Veterans. Ribbons are unmounted and do not come with a holding bar.
