The French Croix De Guerre Ribbon was instituted in 1941 and is awarded for individual feats of arms as recognized by mention in dispatches. This ribbon can also be awarded as a unit awarded for heroism and selfless action displayed in service. This ribbon is hard to identify for foreign awards that were not typical until after World War II. French Croix De Guerre Ribbons are made by government standards and are military-approved.
