Insignia: A missile surmounting two crossed field guns. The crossed field guns, or cannons, have been used for Artillery has been used since 1834.
In 1901 the Artillery was divided into Coast Artillery and Field Artillery.
The enlisted collar insignias has the branch insignia on a gold disc and is worn on the collar of the uniform. The other disc is the 'U.S.' letters.
