DC Distinguished Service Medal Ribbon

The DC Distinguished Service Medal Ribbon is officially hallmarked by the U.S. Institute of Heraldry state ribbon. This ribbon is awarded to personnel who, while serving to the D.C NG, perform an act of extraordinary heroism or render exceptionally meritorious service which results in conspicuous and lasting benefits to the D.C National Guard. Can also be rewarded by the approval of the Commanding General, to other military personnel who have rendered distinguished service to the United States. The DC Disguised Service Medal Ribbon regulation date of when the first award dates to December 27th, 1960. This ribbon displays three colors navy blue (½), yellow (⅛), and red (⅛). These ribbons are made with the highest government standards and are US Military approved. Ribbons are unmounted and do not come with a holding bar.
