Coast Guard Recruiting Mini-Ribbon

Instituted: 1995 (retroactive to 1980) Criteria: Successful completion of two consecutive years of recruiting duty. Devices: Bronze, Silver Star The Coast Guard Recruiting Service Ribbon was established on November 2, 1995 by the Commandant of the Coast Guard and made retroactive to Recruiting tours performed subsequent to January 1, 1980. It is awarded for two consecutive duty tours in Coast Guard Recruiting offices. The ribbon is worn after the Coast Guard Basic Training Honor Graduate Ribbon and before the Armed Forces Reserve Medal. Each additional successful two-year tour of duty is signified by a bronze star worn on the ribbon. Additional awards of the Coast Guard Recruiting Service Ribbon are denoted by service stars. Like the Navy, the Coast Guard also issues a Recruiter Badge as a temporary decoration worn while a service member is presently serving as a Coast Guard Recruiter.
